* Your use of the word "thingy" indicates that your level of intellect or
education may be (more than) somewhat sub-standard.
What other open-source experience do you have? Do you have ANY experience
with UNIX or UNIX-like operating systems?

So:
- installed PAM + MYSQL just

because I need virtual domains
I use pam_mysql for Cyrus with virtual domains myself. No problem! Of
course, this has nothing to do with web-cyradm at all. So it doesn't belong
on a posting to this list.

Patches are sometimes necessary to support "features" that aren't supported
by the original software. But, as always, YMMV. Of course, this, too, has
nothing to do with web-cyradm at all. So, it doesn't belong on a posting to
this list.

Really? I also happen to run SquirrelMail as my webmail client. Never had
a problem with it. I also use the changepass_mysql plugin for SquirrelMail
-- and have no problems whatsoever. Of course, this, too, has nothing to do
with web-cyradm at all. So, it doesn't belong on a posting to this list.

Please tell me - what the f***k have you written this s***t for ?
Always the quick resort of the uneducated baboon -- a downwards spiral into
profanity.

If you could write it in PHP in a week, then why don't you stop your
kvetching and do it? I don't know PHP -- not even one lick of it. But, I
followed Luc's excellent How-to (Postfix+Cyrus+SASL+MySQL on FreeBSD), and
it works like a charm -- I have a number of these installations, and every
one of them works exactly as it should. Maybe you just don't know how to
follow directions?
In all seriousness, this sort of a rant is simply out-of-line on a technical
support mailing list like this one. I certainly understand your frustration
-- I had major issues with getting PEAR (PHP database abstraction layer) to
work during my first installation of web-cyradm. Fortunately, this list --
and a kind user on this list -- were able to help me considerably; in fact,
this generous individual logged into my system (I gave him access) and
troubleshot the issues with me. We got it working after an hour or two.
Rather than complain loudly about the problem, if you're really looking for
help, why don't you provide information which would be useful to the group
in troubleshooting. Instead, why don't you try posting the requests for
assistance with your many problems to the appropriate list -- I didn't see
anything in your posting that was relevant to web-cyradm, except perhaps
peripherally. You might also see if there's a list for self-help for
individuals with deeply-seated psychiatric problems; you are obviously in
serious need of therapy. Perhaps your mother didn't love you enough as a
child? But, that's not relevant to this list, and we shouldn't be burdened
with it.
In Italy, we would refer to you as "una mezza-frega". Its purely
appropriate. (anyone who needs a translation is welcome to email me
off-list).
