OK.

I got the issue from yesterday resolved.  Thanks to the individual who told
me to compile --with-gettext into PHP.

I'm obviously having some database problems, as I still could not log in.  I
hacked conf.php to return true to the login so I could get itno the system
and troubleshoot it.

Now, once I login, I get a different error:

Fatal error: Undefined class name 'db' in validate.inc.php on line 63

I'm assuming that this has to do with my Berkeley installation, although it
is installed correctly and working fine with other software.  I've checked
the archives (and Google), and there is nothing at all on this.

Any help would be most appreciated.
