Hi guys,
I've been strugling with my setup for a few days now and am hoping someone can
help.
webcyradm is set up, and seems to "work" - I can log in fine, add tables etc,
and that all goes ahead fine...
However, I can't send test mails, and I can't read mails...
Attempting to send a test mail using the following....
> bob at neo bob $ telnet waterbeach 25
> Trying 192.168.1.201...
> Connected to waterbeach.
> Escape character is '^]'.
> 220 waterbeach.ball-home.co.uk ESMTP Postfix (Debian/GNU)
> helo neo.ball-home.co.uk
> 250 waterbeach.ball-home.co.uk
> mail from: <from email address>
> 250 Ok
> rcpt to: bob at ball-home.co.uk
> 250 Ok
> data
> 354 End data with <CR><LF>.<CR><LF>
> test
> hi
> 1 2 3
> .
> 250 Ok: queued as 24E9A14EBB7
> quit
> 221 Bye
Of course, replacing " at " with @, and <from email address> with a real email
address.
This all seems to be fine so far, however, the mail is not delivered, it is
returned to me saying...
<bob at ball-home.co.uk>: user unknown. Command output: bob: Mailbox does not
exist _
The account exists according to webcyradm
Possibly related is the following
> 17 22:24:39 waterbeach imapd[420]: badlogin: waterbeach[127.0.0.1]
plaintext cyrus cannot connect to pwcheck server
*blink*
I also get the same error (But with pop3d) when I try to telnet to 110 and
login
I'm on debian, and followed the debian how to - which does not seem to include
instaling SASL? could that be the problem?
Any advice would be much appreciated,
Thanks,
Bob
