Friends, developers and users,

I'm proud to finally announce the availablilty of version 0.5.4

This release was promissed since a long time. It was my fault to accept 
patches for too long time. Every patch needs some time to test by a 
broad amount of people.

This release was tested by a huge amount of people and declared stable 
by the testers.

I would like to thank all people who helped and contributed to this 
project. Without the community the project would be dead.

It is hard to track all contributons since 0.5.3 which was released more 
  than one year ago. If I forgot someone, please mail me, I'll correct 
this mail.

In the future, I'll handle feature freezes more strictly and more often 
which means, release cycle will accelerate.

The 0.5.4 release will be announced at freshmeat at monday morning CEST
